Reliability Tests
POINTek’s athermal AWG products have been tested in accordance with Telecordia GR-1209-CORE (Generic Requirements for Passive Optical Components and GR-1221-CORE (Generic Reliability Assurance for Passive Optical Components). Our athermal AWGs are manufactured in full compliance with RoHS Directives including flammability in accordance with Underwriters Laboratories publication UL94, Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances.
The most important quality issue is the temperature stability/sensitivity measurement for superior performance and long-term operational reliability of our optical devices. A comprehensive scope of temperature tests in range and duration has been conducted; displaying some representative results (see reports in the list on the right). In addition, our devices proved safely-functioning after being subjected to other appropriate physical and environmental testing involving high power, mechanical tension and drop, and water immersion.
